1. Get a free estimate to determine what your needs are. (Items must be less than 20 inches [50,8 cm] on longest possible dimension (diagonal). Carton weight should be less than 20 Lbs. (9 kg). See below for other limitations.) Large quantity orders (more than 200 items) may need to be sent in stages

2. To get an estimate send email giving the nature and number of items with any special requirements. You will receive an estimate with charges and deliverables spelled out. If you are unsure about just what you need please ask.

Usage rights

All images are delivered electronically or via data CD/DVD. Usage rights are granted only upon payment in full. Research & Design, Inc. retains copyright, you recieve Royalty Free license to use the images for any sales or product promotional purpose as long as you want, in any number of reproductions. You may NOT resell the images, or use them to advertise any part of your business other than selling the product depicted. If you sell your business, the license is transferable to the new owner only, and only for the purposes here described. Usage is subject to any further limitations described elsewhere on the order page. If you are unsure about just what this means please ask.

Conditions and Limitations:

1. Items must measure less than 20 inches (50,8cm) on the longest dimension (usually the diagonal) to accommodate equipment. Shipping boxes must weigh 20lbs (9kg) or less, if it is bigger or weighs more than that please inquire. Limit shipments to 5 boxes.

2. No items p^ornographic or s^exual in nature, body m^odification items, tobacco, gambling articles, weapons, explosives, dangerous chemicals, hazardous, or illegal materials of any kind may be shipped to Research & Design, Inc. If you can't get through a church, school or airport with it, don't send it here! If you have ANY question ask FIRST.

3. All items must be fully assembled ready to photograph. Any items that require assembly or preparation prior to photography will incur additional charges and should be negotiated prior to shipment.

4. Any items received broken or damaged will not be photographed unless damage is minor and can be easily repaired or can be photographed in a way so not to show the damage. Shipper is responsible for all damage claims resolution.

5. Total Liability of Research & Design, Inc., regardless of cause, shall not exceed the agreed upon cost of the shoot.

6. If product is shipped to Research & Design, Inc. the fact the shipment has been made indicates acceptance of all terms outlined by Research & Design in it's email response or here.

7. If final invoice has been unpaid, or proofs not reviewed and approved after 60 days, product will be disposed of (e-bay). Disposal proceeds (if any) will be used to offset unpaid balance. No rights for use of the photographs or proofs are granted under these conditions. Any use will be deemed a copyright violation and handled accordingly.

8. Usage rights granted only upon payment in full.

3. You will receive an email outlining the charges and deliverables. Check the prices given carefully, signify your approval and return with reply email.

Orders less than $200 or paid by money order must be prepaid. Money orders must accompany shipment. Be sure to include your telephone number in case questions come up during shooting. If paying by PayPal and not prepaid an email invoice will be issued for 35% of charges.

Upon payment you are authorized to ship. You are given an order number at this time to use on all shipments and correspondence.

4. Most of the time items will be photographed using best judgement. If you want a specific shot please place a small, easily removed sticker (i.e., postit®) indicating the side you wish to have photographed. CLEARLY write on the sticker any special instructions that might be needed. Items MUST be packed carefully, and in a way they can be UN-packed, and RE-packed easily. "Bubble wrap^®" is recommended (and is reusable). Tape with narrow (less than 3/4 inch [1,9 cm]) masking tape. Difficult packaging may result in delays or additional charges. If the product arrives without the individual packaging opened it is assumed you want the package photographed not the item inside. If shipping more than one box they must have printed on them the count and total. (Example: 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, etc.) Please ship similar sized items together. Insure your shipment.

5. When the shipment arrives shooting will be scheduled.

6. When shoot is complete (two weeks, usually less, depending on workload) you will recieve email giving a web address of "proofs" for your review. These are web size sample images to allow you to see if you are satisfied with the work. If you are, reply to the email with your OK and go to step #7. Photos are guaranteed to meet your requirements. If you need correction on certain images communicate your concerns by reply email, and await reshoot and new proofs. Excessive requests for reshoots may result in additional charges. (An art directed shoot may need to be arranged via internet live IM video if you have some very specific ideas on what you want. Hourly rates apply.)

7. On your approval of the proofs you recieve, you will be sent the final invoice for remaining 65% of charges, plus return shipping, insurance, and sales tax (if applicable). Upon receipt of payment your product will be shipped back (with CD/DVD for Basic photography).

8. These steps and charges may vary for large or special orders. These must be separately negotiated. Hourly rates available.
