PACKING

Bubble Wrap® from Wal-Mart.

Check list:

1. Pre-packaged items must be opened and removed or resealed with ordinary [not wide] masking tape unless the entire package is to be photographed. If you want both write it on a sticky note (see #3).

2. Be sure the items are clean and ready to photograph. They will receive a light dust off prior to shoot.

3. If it is not obvious what you want, put a sticky note on the product giving the direction you want it photographed from (such as from front above, etc.) Include any special instructions. Best judgement will be used if not otherwise indicated. If you want the photo to be keyed to a number for specific stock keeping units (SKU's), put it on the sticky note. Please print clearly.

4. Wrap breakable products with manufactured cushioning material and seal with 3/4 inch wide or smaller masking tape. Please, no wide tape.

5. Pack in boxes not to exceed 20 lbs.

6. No more than 5 boxes per shipment. Mark them properly with number of boxes and order number. Arrangements need to be made for larger shipments.

7. If product is sensitive to freezing or excess heat make arrangements for call-ahead so boxes can be moved to climate controlled area.

Thank you for your cooperation. By following these guidelines we can keep phone calls to a minimum and cost low.

Packing Instructions

  • Time is money. Please pack items so they can be quickly and easily unpacked and repacked. The prices given can only be sustained if there is no extra work involved. It is an assembly line operation so uniformity in packing is essential. Please follow these guidelines to ensure the process goes smoothly!

  • Pre packaged items not removed from original package must have the individual packaging opened so the product can easily be removed. Tape it back shut (with masking tape) for shipment here. If the product arrives without the individual packaging opened it is assumed you want the package photographed not the item in the package.

  • For breakable items it is recommended that you use Encapsulated-air Plastic Sheeting (Bubble Wrap®), Polyethylene Foam Sheeting, or other manufactured cushioning material. This material is inexpensive, reusable, and available at major retailers.

  • Tape with ordinary (less than 3/4 inch [1,9 cm] wide) masking tape NOT clear plastic tape. You cannot see clear plastic tape easily. Masking tape is easy to see and quick to cut.

  • Following this guide keeps costs low. Excess time in unpacking and repacking may result in additional charges. You will not be charged unless first contacted to authorize any additional expense.

  • The shipping carton may be taped with wide clear plastic tape or any suitable carton sealing tape.

  • Box weight limit of 20 lbs [9 kg].

  • Five boxes per shipment. If more than five are needed, arrangements must be made.

  • Mark the boxes 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5 etc.

  • Mark the order number on the outside of each carton. The order number is the 10 digit number given you in the invoice email.

NOTE: In winter boxes may be stored in sub-freezing conditions. (Actually this is Iowa, it might be sub-zero conditions!) If you are shipping materials sensitive to freezing please make arrangements for call-ahead prior to delivery so boxes can be moved promptly to a warmer location.
